Standing seam metal roof ridge detail on a Northeast Washington home

Standing seam metal roofing

A roof built for Stevens County snow

24-gauge concealed-fastener standing seam, detailed by hand at every valley, ridge, and penetration — installed by the crew that measures and quotes it.

Metal roofing is the work we do almost every week. Not as an upsell next to composition shingles — as the thing the shop is set up for. That means we know how 24-gauge panel moves through a freeze-thaw winter, where snow stacks up on a Stevens County roofline, and which details fail first when a crew rushes them.

Panels rolled and set to line

We roll 24-gauge painted steel on site so panel lengths run eave to ridge without a horizontal seam wherever the run allows. Fewer seams means fewer places for water and ice to find their way in. Panels are locked with concealed clips, so there are no exposed screws to back out and start weeping in year eight.

  • 24-gauge painted steel, concealed-fastener standing seam
  • Full-length panels rolled on site where run length allows
  • Clip-and-lock attachment that lets panels move with temperature
  • Kynar finish colors matched to your siding and trim package

The details are the roof

Valleys, ridge caps, pipe flashings, sidewall transitions, and the eave edge get bent and fit by hand on the jobsite. That's where roofs leak — never in the middle of a panel. We dry the deck in with high-temp ice and water shield at eaves and valleys before any metal goes down.

  • High-temp ice & water shield at eaves, valleys, and penetrations
  • Synthetic underlayment across the full deck
  • Custom-bent valleys, ridge caps, and pipe boots
  • Snow retention sized to your pitch and to what's below the eave
  • Gutter and downspout integration

Tear-off, deck repair, and cleanup

Old roofing comes off, the deck gets walked and repaired where it's soft, and the site is magnet-swept daily. You get one crew and one number to call, from the first measurement through the final walkthrough with a punch list.

  • Full tear-off and haul-away, or overbuild where the deck allows
  • Sheathing repair and re-nail before dry-in
  • Daily cleanup and nail sweep
  • Workmanship warranty plus manufacturer finish warranty in writing

How the job runs

  1. 01

    Measure and quote

Kirt walks the roof, checks pitch, penetrations, and the condition of the deck, then sends an itemized quote in one to two business days.

  2. 02

    Panel, color, and trim

You pick the profile and color from real samples. Trim, snow retention, and gutter details get decided before anything is ordered.

  3. 03

    Tear-off and dry-in

Old roofing comes off, the deck is repaired, and ice shield plus underlayment go on the same day so the house is never left open.

  4. 04

    Panels and hand-bent trim

Panels are rolled and set, then valleys, ridge, and flashings are fabricated on site to fit your roof exactly.

  5. 05

    Walk it together

We go around the building with you, list anything that needs a touch, and finish it before the final invoice.
