Modern home entry and carport by KD's Custom Exteriors

Interior flooring

Flat subfloor, tight seams, clean transitions

LVP, laminate, and tile installed with real subfloor prep — the same trim-level finish work we put on the outside of the house.

When a project carries inside, we finish it. Flooring looks simple until you lay it over a subfloor that isn't flat — then you get soft spots, popping seams, and transitions that catch a toe at every doorway. We prep first, then install, and the trim gets the same attention as an exterior corner detail.

Prep before product

The subfloor gets walked, fastened where it's loose, and leveled where it isn't flat. Squeaks and dips don't fix themselves under new material — they telegraph straight through it.

  • Subfloor inspection, re-fastening, and leveling
  • Moisture check before install
  • Old flooring removal and haul-away
  • Underlayment matched to the product and room

LVP, laminate, and tile

Layout is planned so the first course and the last one both look intentional, seams stagger properly, and cuts land where they belong at walls and cabinets rather than in the middle of a sight line.

  • Luxury vinyl plank and laminate
  • Tile with proper underlayment and setting systems
  • Layout planned to sight lines and room geometry
  • Full-room or whole-home installs

Trim and transitions

Base, shoe, thresholds, and transition strips get fit and finished so doorways read clean and there's no gap grinning at the wall. It's the same finish standard as our exterior trim work.

  • Base and shoe molding fit and finished
  • Thresholds and transition strips at every doorway
  • Undercut door casings for a tucked edge
  • Cleanup and walkthrough at completion

How the job runs

  1. 01

    Measure the rooms

We measure, check the subfloor condition, and send an itemized quote in one to two business days.

  2. 02

    Pick the product

You choose the material and color; we confirm quantities with waste factored so there's no mid-job reorder.

  3. 03

    Demo and prep

Old flooring comes out, the subfloor gets fastened and leveled, and underlayment goes down.

  4. 04

    Install

Material goes in to the planned layout with staggered seams and cuts placed out of sight lines.

  5. 05

    Trim and walk it

Base, thresholds, and transitions are finished, the space is cleaned, and we walk it with you.
